PI'S NEW UNIVERSITY COORDINATORS

21.9.2023

PI's new network of university coordinators will start operating in the fall. The task of the network is to convey information about the association's activities to the students and introduce them to the forest industry.

University coordinators work at Åbo Akademi, LUT University, Aalto University, XAMK, TAMK, as well as the universities of Oulu and Tampere.

"It was decided to create a network of university coordinators so that students could get up-to-date information about scholarship applications, the events and opportunities we organize and through them get to know the forest industry more closely," says Donika Morina, Project Manager of the Finnish Forest Products Engineers' Association (PI)."

"We also felt it was important that the universities have a person that students can connect with the association, and to whom they can turn in all matters related to the association," says Morina

The coordinators are involved in the first Roadshow event that starts in the fall, and in the Kick off events related to the mentoring program that starts in the spring.

"The coordinators are actively planning and organizing the programs of both events, where students can get to know the forest industry, companies in the field and hear about the alumni's career paths."

LUT University: Eelis Zeiler
