PI welcomes you to attend the PI Spring Summit and Gala event 2023! The Spring Summit is free of charge for all PI members and it will be held as a hybrid event that can be participated in remotely or in person. Only the first 200 may attend the event in person.
The Spring Summit will be held on April 20th, 2023 at Hilton Helsinki Kalastajatorppa.
The Spring Summit deals with the future of fibre packaging. We are in for interesting speeches from experts concerning the future trends of food packaging, regulatory threats and opportunities as well as practical examples of sustainable fibre-based packaging and investments, for example. In connection with the summit, we also have the finals of the Wood U Innovate competition for students in higher education, and the winners of the Uusi puu competition will be announced. The lunche speech will be given by Mika Joukio, CEO of Metsä Board.
The Annual Meeting will cover the Section 7 of the Rules of the Association (including the Annual Report for 2022, financial statements, personnel choices and membership issues) and scholarships granted. PI’s financial statements are available for reading from 5 April onwards on PI’s member pages.
In addition, students and recent graduates are also welcome to join for an excursion to the Valmet Head Office. Read more about special activity for students and recently graduated.
The Spring Summit day ends with the long-awaited Gala event in the Round room of Hilton Helsinki Kalastajatorppa, where there will be delicious food, an award ceremony, good dance music and a wonderful atmosphere for the guests to enjoy.
