PI aims to become more inclusive and accessible to its international members and stakeholders, and for the first time, the primary language of the Autumn Summit will be English.
PI's Autumn Summit will be held on November 21st, 2024 at Dipoli, Espoo. The physical event can accommodate the first 200 registered participants. It is also possible to attend the event remotely.
What kind of new products will be possible to make from wood in the future? How can more high-value products be produced from the same amount of wood, with even fewer emissions? PI’s Autumn Summit will delve into these current topics, and once again, there will be presentations from many leading experts.
The Autumn Summit, themed Unlocking Higher Yield From Wood With Lower Emissions, is organized in close collaboration with the Emission Free Pulping research program and will be held mainly in English for the first time.
Among the speakers are Antti Asikainen, Research Director of the Natural Resources Institute Finland (LUKE), VP Saara Söderberg from AFRY Management Consulting, SVP Petri Hakanen from UPM, and SVP Mikael Hannus from Stora Enso. Additionally, international speakers include the Scientific Director of the research program, Per Tomani from RISE, and Professor Monica Ek from KTH. The event will be moderated by journalist André Noël-Chaker.
In addition, students and recent graduates are also welcome to join for an excursion to the Deloitte Finland Head Office
