However, with the development of technology and new innovations, the sector is in a constant state of change. New technologies provide increasingly better opportunities to enhance operations, reduce environmental impacts, and ensure reliable performance. In this event, we will delve into the industry's biggest challenges and explore how the latest technologies can help address them.
As a representative of the forest industry, Metsä Group will also share its perspectives on sustainable development goals and the needs these create for the supply chain. The event offers a great opportunity to network with industry professionals and hear engaging presentations

VILLE SILEÄKANGAS
Director, Business Development, Sourcing & Logistics, Metsä Group
Ville has been with Metsä Group for over 18 years, gaining diverse experience in various roles within wood procurement. Currently, he works in the Sourcing and Logistics organization, where he focuses on sustainability issues, among other responsibilities. Additionally, Ville has valuable experience outside the forest industry, particularly in unit load logistics.
JUHA ALAMÄKI
Service Manager, ABB Process Industries
I work at ABB in Helsinki as a Service Manager for the process industries business. My responsibilities include the maintenance business for automation and electrical systems, as well as control systems and laboratory equipment for the paper industry. I began my career at ABB in 1995 as a Service Engineer for frequency converters, and throughout my time at ABB, I have held various roles in the service sector, ranging from sales to product development.

As General Manager for ABB Process Industries Digital in Europe, Guillaume Carnaille works alongside customers to drive their digital transformation journeys, with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability targets. His collaborative approach and experience in change management makes him a trusted advisor to management teams, offering practical solutions that help connect business needs with technology. He has a dual background in Manufacturing engineering and International Business. He and his wife live with their son in Zurich.
